NO UN INTERVENTION (99 Sep 29)
Mr. Lakshman Kadirgamar addressing the United Nations Correspondents Association in New York on Monday the 27th has said that the UN has no role to play in the internal matters of Sri Lanka. He has also said that he saw no need for UN mediations in the Tamil racist problem in Sri Lanka.
Earlier an association with the name Asian Human Rights Commission had called for UN intervention in the Tamil racist problem. These Commissions which call for UN intervention without studying the problem are only helping world imperialism to dictate terms to the former colonies.
It was regarding Serbia that Mr. Blair the British Prime Minister formulated the infamous Blair doctrine which said that human rights are more important than the sovereignty of states. The world imperialism can make use of this doctrine to attack any country if they wish to do so.
Sri Lankan foreign minister has in effect replied to the British Prime Minister when he said that the sovereignty is a precious entitlement to all countries bid or small.
