1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup desicated coconut
125 grams butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
2 table spoons water
1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

1.Combine oats,flour,sugar.coconut and
mixed spice in a large bowl.
2.Combine chopped butter,golden syrup and water in a medium pan,stir over low heat until butter is melted. Remove from heat and stir in soda.
3.Add syrup mixture to dry ingredients.Mix well.
4.Spoon heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture,5cm apart onto oven trays.
5.Cook at 150 C for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on racks. Enjoy!!
