My Dear Michael. It is so glad to hear from you again. I trust you are well. As more news about the Michael Pennington story comes to light it may be possible to finally conclude on that strange paranormal experience at the beginning of 2004. For those involved it may have been more realistic and believable than outsiders would care to accept.
The ghost appeared on a message forum claiming to be from the city of Birmingham in England in response to a request by a forum poster for a ghost story. In a few short weeks the writer entertained, disturbed, and even angered hundreds of visitors who engaged in the forum communications.
‘He lied to us’ they screamed, as Pennington had informed everyone that he was a ghost who had found a way to communicate by computer. Hard to believe? Well there are those who expected he was telling the truth and now feel hurt that Pennington has been dishonest. But what if he was telling the truth?
It is easy to dismiss this all as science fiction although the event did attract large numbers of people within a very short space of time. There are now many postings and hoax theories on forums on the net although most of the hoax stories appear to be from a disgruntled Pennington follower with plenty of time on his hands. Some comments refer to the postings being well written and some contradict this. There are claims that it was just a test draft for a book. That book incidentally is actually being published and is probably a tidied up and edited version of the original postings.
The ghost held question and answer sessions and seemed like quite a friendly soul. I suppose patience is a virtue well understood by someone who has spent over 30 years as a spirit without any means of communication. Posters failed to read the postings properly and repeatedly asked the same questions over and over again. Irate sceptics, believers and followers of Pennington started to argue and split up, causing the cessation of his postings and the closure of the original forum. There are rumours of a wacko on the loose who sent blindingly obscene emails to Pennington and may have been the reason why the story was discontinued. ( If you are still registered on the original forums where this story took place you can read the updates provided by the site admin and a few die hards ). The uniqueness of the tale and the fact that some believed they were in communication with the dead would certainly have affected some people psychologically.
Michaeal Pennington has since stopped posting. Hounded out by the obsessed Ghost Busters or Hoax Busters claiming IP addresses and proof of identity. Even those interested in offering their comments on forums relating to the subject now do so in guarded tones and with a degree of caution. It also seems that Pennington has appeared under several names himself, offering perhaps an alternative insight into why he might have posted in the first instance and the reasons why he might have decided to abandon human contact.
Mr Pennington has probably retired to more industrious and lucrative dealings with his band of merry men and women who provide some fusion between the dead and the living. They are probably busy with their commitment to the global mission.
We should all be prepared to listen and to analyse, adding our own contribution and debate in an orderly and logical fashion that accepts the postings for what we believe they are, just a story. Did I really say that? Perhaps I meant to say, just a ghost. Whatever your views, your opinions and thoughts are your own. To enforce them upon others is not right. At least Pennington did not force his views upon anyone. He left that to the humans to achieve.
So here we are. What can we conclude? The forum administrators of the original place where Pennington first posted are to blame for the whole incident and they wrote the whole thing themselves?
Perhaps the global mission thing is a government smoke screen to warn us slowly of impending changes in future world order.
Maybe Michael really is sat there by his laptop reading all the posts online, possibly even contributing and continuing the debate in chat rooms around the world. He may even have given up on the living and be engrossed with more reliable and trusting companions in his spirit friends. And who could blame him? God forbid if a real ghost or spirit ever tried to seriously communicate with real live human beings. We would sure as hell screw things up.
And what if? What if the ghost actually did post in order to gage human reaction to the concept of life after death and the possibility of a global mission in future years.
Perhaps I am Michael Pennington or am I being guided by a light?
It is true my friends, you are not ready. You have failed to understand or grasp even the most simplistic and basic concept of communication with spirit world. Humans. You have failed miserably.
Next time the lights go off in your neighborhood - take a walk on the wild side…………..
