Hi, I used to have friends from Sri Lanka and when |I moved away from the area we lost contact (15 years ago). My friend used to make a fantastic spicy `mix` to put on rice, curries etc. I think it was made from chillies, onion ,garlic-(and other ingredients) and fried until golden and nearly `dry`. I kept it in a jar in the fridge and it made even plain rice really good.
Can anyone tell me what this may have been called ? Also how to make it, please
