World Traveller & Eater

Postby Mad Doctor Tom on Mon Nov 23, 2009 11:57 pm

Greetings to All,

I have travelled many places across the globe, North Pole, South Pole, and many places in between, although I have not been to Sri Lanka. I was watching Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations and saw he was in Sri Lanka.

I saw many delicious spicy dishes, and my curiousity was piqued. I am hoping to learn a few simple dishes to start with, and then the more involved one. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not afraid of dishes that are fiery, but some with less spice would be ideal to start the kids on.

I have 6 children 4 boys 2 girls and just one wife. LOL My rule is that they (the children) cannot say they don't like something without trying it.

Just remember:

Here is a recipe that you and your kids might like;
Imbul Kiri Bath (Milk Rice with Cocunut stuffing) , posted under "Rices and Breads".

If fresh coconut is not available, you can use desiccated unsweetened coconut. Add a little water to it and micro for a minute before using.
