1 lb minced (ground) beef or lamb 3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped/crushed) 2 tsp chopped coriander 1 tsp chopped parsley 1 tsp tandoori paste 1 tsp tandoori powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp tomato puree 1 tsp hot paprika (or chilli powder if you like it hot) Half tsp lime juice Half tsp sugar 1 tablespoon white flour Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste (1 beaten egg added at the end when all the ingredients have been mixed together to help bind the mixture)
Method:
Mix everything together in a bowl until very well mixed and blended together. Then add the egg. Shape into sausage-like rolls and put a skewer through the centre. Put into a shallow roasting tin/swiss roll tin/pie dish/or any dish with sides on it. Bake in a medium hot over until done (about 45 minutes).
You can grill them if you like also but they are more inclined to break up when you are turning them. Delicious hot or cold. Serve with rice for a main meal. Serve mint yoghurt on the side! You can put them into a bread roll with some lettuce and tomatoes for a tasty snack. You can put them into pitta bread along with some diced bombay potatoes for a delicious indian "T.V. Dinner" food.
