Prawn shells (only the tail) are usually eaten in this
recipe but shells can be removed before adding prawns
to marinade, if preferred. This recipe is not suitable
to freeze or microwave.

1 kl uncooked king sized prawns
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon chille powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon grated freash ginger
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon lemon juice.

1. Wash prawns, pat dry with absorbent paper, Remove
heads, body and legs, leaving tails shells intact.

2. Blend or process onion,yogurt,turmeric, chille
powder, paprika, ginger, garlic and lemon juice until
smooth.

3. Combine yogurt mixture and prawns in large bowl,
mix well, cover, refrigerate overnight.

4. Grill or barbecue prawns until tender, brushing
occasionally with marinade during cooking.
