Thank you for visiting my Home Page. My name is Siripala and I was born in Sri Lanka. I had my preliminary and secondary education in the village school; Maputugala Maha Vidyalaya. After finishing Advanced Level education at Taxila Central College, Horana I got my university education in Sri Jayawardanapura University where I specialized in Sociology. After graduation I worked at the Sarvodaya Research Institute for some time and joined National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB) in 1986. I got my Masters from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo Japan where I am reading for my Doctors now.
My main research interest is the problem of 'Drug Abuse' while I am also interested in studies about communal problem. Presently I am attached to the Graduate School of Social Studies at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and in the sametime I am doing research at the National Institute of Mental Health Japan as a Researcher on Drug Abuse. Presently I am working on my Ph.D. theasis.
