5. READERS COLUMN
In this months readers column we publish an email send to the editors:
We, doctors at a very remote area, are having difficulties in getting circulars issued by the Health Department/Ministry in time.
The circulars/Advertisements of specially for annual transfers, noted lists, applying for special posts and post graduate exams etc, are received to our stations probably after closing dates or even nothing is received.(This may be due to postal delay)
I would suggest you to post summaries of these circulars via E-mail by MEDI INFO, if possible, then at least we who are interested on particular circular, may be able to apply without delay.
Dr. Eresha Samarajiva MBBS(Cey), Base Hospital, Nawalapitiya.
***EDITOR'S COMMENTS:
When we launched Medi Info one of our goals was to make it a fast means of disseminating information to the doctors in the periphery. (Information meaning any thing that would be of interest to doctors). We thank you for identifying a "new" information need. We will discuss with the relevant officials about posting circulars through Medi Info. Hopefully this will become a reality in the near future.
