GA MANNARAMA ARRESTED(99 Sep 08)
The government agent of Mannarama, S. M. Croos was arrested on Saturday the third after some explosives were detected in his official quarters. The government's agent's driver had been arrested on the twenty ninth of August.
A senior police officer has told "The Island" that it was after intensive grilling of the driver that the GA was arrested. The GA is being held for interrogation on a defense ministry detention order.
Police has further said that the driver has transported a considerable quantity of explosives to Kolomba from Mannarama from time to time over the past number of years.
