PLOTE MEMBER THREATENS SINHALA TEACHER(98 Jun 17)
A member of the Peoples Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE) has threatened and asked a female Sinhala teacher to leave Vavuniyawa. The teacher had gone to Vavuniyawa accompanying the netball team of the Thirikunamalaya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya.
As reported in the"Divaina" of June fifteenth the children of the Sinhala schools, who went Vavuniyawa to participate in the Inter School Sports competitions of the Thirikunamalaya District, have faced with hardships.
If this is the treatment Sinhala children get in a Unitary Sri Lanka what would be their fate in the regions created by the G.L.- Neelan constitution. Where are those human rights organisations and the NGOs which are supposed to be alert on violation of human rights? What has got the government to say over this?
We all know that the NGOs as well as the government will turn a blind eye as their survival is linked with Tamil racism and the Tamil racist parties.
