New Bhikku Hospital ceremoniously opens by President Rajapaksa at Galaha, Kandy

A well equipped new bhikku hospital for Maha Sanga was ceremoniously opened by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Galaha, close proximity of Kandy city on 6th November. The new hospital which was built in a land donated by the parents of Ven Delthota Dhammajiththi thero at the cost of 50 million rupees. President also planted a tree in the hospital land to mark the occasion, declared open the electricity supply of the hospital and admitted the first patient monk to the hospital by himself. Later Dhana was offered to Maha Sanga inside the hospital premises. Later President Rajapaksa addressed the gathering and expressed his sincere appreciation to Maha Sanga for the blessings, advice, guidance and courage he received from them during the humanitarian mission carried out to liberate the country from terrorism. Chief Incumbent of the Asgiriya Chapter Ven Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Maha Nayaka Thero, Ven Dauldena Gnanissara Anu Nayaka Thero, Ven Pilapitiye Gnanawasa anu Nayaka Thero, Ven Delthota Dhammajiththi Thero, many politicians, well wishers and a large number of local crowds participated in the occasion.
