President Mahinda Rajapaksa attends D.A. Rajapakse commemoration oration at BMICH

The four sons - including President Mahinda Rajapaksa- of late Parliamentarian attended the 42nd D.A. Rajapakse commemoration oration which was held at BMICH on Wedensday (evening) 11th of November.

The key note speech was delivered by Dr. Karu Hangawatta, who is a Professor of the Department of Criminal Justice of the Nevada University of Las Wages in the USA. His lecture was based on Building Social Capital on the Foundation of National Unity for a Resurgent Sri Lanka.

President Rajapaksa greeted the invitees in the rostrum after the commemoration ceremony.

Members of the clergy, First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, ministers, members of the foreign Diplomatic missions and other distinguished invitees were present at the event.

Chairman of the D. A. Rajapaksa Memorial Educational, Cultural, and Social Services Foundation Chamal Rajapaksa, "Kalasoori" Arisen Ahubudu, ICTA Chairman Prof. P. W. Epasinghe, Commemorative Committee member G.L. W. Samarasinghe were also present on stage.
