World Hindu Conference in Sri Lanka

Apr 1 (InfoLanka) The Hindu Religious Affairs Ministry on the initiative of Minister T.Maheswaran, is making elaborate arrangements to hold the second World Hindu Conference, in Colombo and Nuwara Eliya.

A large number of religious dignitaries, delegates, observers and artistes from Sri Lanka and many foreign countries will participate. The inaugural ceremony will be at the BMICH at 9.00 a.m. on May 2.

President Chandrika Kumaratunga and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will inaugurate the conference. It will be followed by academic and general sessions and cultural programmes.

There will also be a bibliographical and cultural exhibition for 4 days from May 2-5. A conference souvenir in two volumes will also be released at the Conference.

The final day session will be held on May 6 at Nuwara Eliya.
