Hotel trade goes to Jaffna

Mar 1 (InfoLanka) Jaffna may have the opportunity of being owners to a luxury 50 roomed hotel, within the next few years.

The owners of the Sigiriya Elephant Corridor Hotel, are planning to build the 50 roomed hotel at a cost of Rs. 350 million in Jafffna.

According to officials, the company has already seen a few locations in Jaffna and are finalising necessary arrangements. The leisure company is also planning to construct another hotel in Karainagar, also in the North of the country.

However, officials say that, "all programmes are still at priliminary stage and would take a few months for a final decision."
