Three cops interdicted for killing people-friendly wild elephant

Aug 20 (Island) A police sergeant and two constables had been interdicted yesterday pending investigations into their alleged involvement in killing a wild elephant in Bakamuna, last week, police said. Three policemen were attached to the Bakamuna Police Station at the time of the incident. They opened fire on the elephant, killing it, while they were on patrol last week (15).
