Safety sticker on liquor bottles bring in 20% income to Excise dept: Siyambalapitiya

Nov 25 (DM) While commenting on the proposal made to paste security stickers on liquor bottles, Excise Dept had gained a 20 per cent income when compared with the sales done in the past 10 years, State Finance Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said. He said the alcohol tax revenue has increased in a background where the consumption of alcohol has decreased by 30%.
