Environment Ministry vows to stick to Red List in undertaking future dev. projects
Oct 5 (Island) No development projects would be implemented in violation of the recently published Red Data List, a senior Environment Ministry official said. GoSL debt up Rs 1.63 trillion
Oct 5 (CT) Govt of SL (GoSL) debt increased by 10.81% (Rs 1,634.5 billion) to Rs 16,751.7 billion (Rs 16.75 trillion) by end July 2021 compared to Rs 15,117.2 billion (Rs 15.12 trillion) by end Dec 2020, latest CBSL data showed. Of this figure of Rs 16,751.7 billion, foreign debt comprised Rs 6,434.2 billion (Rs 6.43 trillion), an increase of 6.31% (Rs 382 billion) and domestic debt Rs 10, 317.5 billion (10.32 trillion), up 13.82% (Rs 1,252.4 billion) in the review period.

Top China tour operator to direct one million tourists to Sri Lanka: Ambassador
