Tea Board to commence replanting next year
Jun 9 (SO) The long overdue tea infilling and replanting program will kick off with nurseries to be laid this year to commence replanting next year aimed at increasing crop yield, a top official of the Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB) said. Malaysia cripple syndicate smuggling Sri Lankan migrants to Europe
Jun 9 (NST) Police have crippled a migrant smuggling syndicate following the arrest of 11 people, including three Malaysians, on May 27. The arrests were made at the Padang Besar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex and two other locations in the Klang Valley. Govt says only mobile sawmills will be banned
