Joint opposition aims to defeat govt

July 31 (Xinhua) Joint Opposition, who are staunch supporters of former President Rajapakse, on Sunday said it would defeat President Sirisena's govt in the coming months and form a new regime under the former president. Joint Opposition refuses to reveal location of Colombo rally

July 31 (AM) Joint Opposition last night refused to reveal the location of the rally that will be held on August 1 in Colombo. UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa told media that the JO had reserved the Hyde Park two weeks prior to the rally. However, the govt suddenly remembered there were repairs to be done, he said.
