Sri Lanka tourist arrivals up 19% in August |
Sep 4 (EN) Sri Lanka’s tourist arrivals rose almost 19 percent to 166,610 in August 2015 from a year ago with China remaining the top source market followed by India, data from state tourism promotion office showed. The number of Chinese visitors, including those from Hong Kong and Macau, rose 73.3% to 24,734 in August 2015 from a year ago. Chinese arrivals have shown the highest growth rate this year, up 76.8% to 144,439 in the eight months to August from the year before.

Wildlife men struggle to save life of elephant |
