Apr 4 (LeN) The human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka recommended that the Government pay Rs. 800,000 to Ravaya Editor Victor Ivan as compensation for undue trial delays and violation of his freedom of expression. Mr. Ivan was awarded compensation in violation of article 14(3) (3) and article 19 read with article 2 (3) of the International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
